World-renowned bassist Charles Berthoud is changing the way we think about the bass guitar. His unique approach to the instrument, which combines a huge range of techniques, has garnered a following of over 3 million on social media. This in turn has led to tours and performances around the world in Europe, North America, South America and Japan, as well as a range of signature basses with Schecter.
Charles’s musical foundations include graduating from Berklee College of Music with highest honours, even co-authoring a book, Two-Handed Tapping, with Berklee professor Jim Stinnett. His experience at Berklee inspired him to begin his own teaching practice online. He has helped over 20000 students reach their bass goals through his Patreon channel as well as his courses, Mastering The Masters and 30-Day Bassist, and taught masterclasses at prestigious venues such as Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, Guitar Summit, Stu Hamm's Estonian Bass Oasis and more.
